Our Studios
From kindergarten through high school, our studios are intentionally designed to meet learners where they are developmentally while preparing them for what's next. Each stage builds greater independence, responsibility, and purpose, helping young people become capable, confident leaders of their own lives.
For ages 5-8
Spark Studio
Where independence begins.
In Spark Studio, even our youngest learners discover they're capable of far more than most people expect. Inspired by Montessori principles, learners choose their work, complete cycles independently, and care for their environment while building strong foundations in reading, writing, and math.
Purposeful play, hands-on materials, and immersive Quests invite learners to explore big ideas through meaningful experiences. Whether designing toys inspired by Newton's laws, launching a simple business, learning to cook, or mastering the strategy of chess, learners discover that learning is something they do — not something that's done to them. Within clear studio guardrails, they experience real freedom to choose meaningful work and real responsibility to complete it while developing focus, self-regulation, confidence, and a love of learning.
By the end of Spark, learners step into the next studio with growing independence, deeper self-direction, and the confidence to own their learning.
For ages 8-11
Explorer Studio
Where freedom and responsibility grow together.
In Explorer Studio, learners begin taking true ownership of their learning. They set goals, manage their time, track their progress, and take responsibility for both their work and their role within the tribe. As their freedoms grow, so do their responsibilities.
Through immersive Quests, learners explore big ideas through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Whether investigating marine science, stepping into Ancient Greece, tackling Survivor-style challenges, launching a business, or designing architectural solutions, they discover that meaningful learning happens when knowledge is put into action. Along the way, they strengthen reading, writing, math, critical thinking, collaboration, and resilience while growing in confidence as capable learners.
A strong tribe inspires and challenges each hero to move beyond "what I want right now" toward longer-range goals, shared commitments, and meaningful contribution. Through Socratic discussions, self-governance, and daily opportunities to lead and serve one another, learners discover that freedom and responsibility go hand in hand.
By the end of Explorer, learners are increasingly self-directed, resilient, and prepared to step into greater leadership and responsibility.
For ages 11-14
Makers Studio
Where leaders are forged.
By middle school, learners are ready for greater freedom, greater responsibility, and greater challenge. In Makers Studio, they don't simply prepare for leadership — they practice it every day. Learners help shape studio culture, hold one another accountable, resolve conflict, and discover that leadership isn't about being in charge — it's about serving others, earning trust, and making the community stronger.
Learning extends beyond the studio through challenging Quests, Socratic discussions, public exhibitions, and real-world apprenticeships. Whether launching a business, creating original work, solving authentic problems, or working alongside professionals in the community, learners develop the confidence to think independently while making meaningful contributions to others.
As academic expectations rise, so does personal ownership. Learners set ambitious goals, seek meaningful feedback, manage long-term projects, and learn that excellence isn't an accident — it's built through persistence, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
By the end of Makers, learners have developed the confidence, character, leadership, and real-world experience to begin designing a future that's uniquely their own.
For ages 15-18
Launchpad Studio
Where purpose takes shape.
Launchpad is designed to bridge the gap between school and the real world. Learners take increasing ownership of their education as they pursue meaningful work, build professional skills, and begin designing lives aligned with their strengths, passions, and purpose.
Learning extends far beyond the studio. Through apprenticeships, entrepreneurial ventures, college-level coursework, independent projects, and mentorship from professionals, learners gain firsthand experience while building a portfolio that reflects who they are and what they're capable of.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all path, each learner designs a personalized Next Great Adventure. Whether that journey leads to college, entrepreneurship, trade school, military service, or another meaningful path, graduates leave with the confidence, experience, and character to take ownership of what's next.
By the time they leave Launchpad, learners aren't just prepared for their next step — they're prepared to keep learning, adapting, and leading for a lifetime.
We believe that learning to do, learning to be, and learning to learn are more important than memorization.
